Häagen-Dazs: Ice Creams Inspired by Casa Batlló
Häagen-Dazs launches in China a series of 5 themed ice creams related to this Gaudí's masterpiece.
Casa Batlló has teamed up with Häagen-Dazs to inspire 5 ice cream collections that can already be enjoyed in more than 350 franchise stores in China. The ice creams recreate the shape of “moon cakes”, a sweet related to the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival that began on October 1st. This is one of the most important festivities in the Chinese calendar and it is customary in it to share traditional moon cakes with friends and family and contemplate the roundest and brightest full moon of the year.
The ice cream brand has been inspired by the architecture of Antonio Gaudí present in Casa Batlló to transfer the fantasy and art of the architect to the Chinese market through different packagings that highlight decorative elements of the House. The collections are:
-Collection Petite. Inspired by the colorful facade of Casa Batlló, this collection presents a box with a kaleidoscope, psychedelic and childish design, including the favorite flavors of the green tea series.
-Collection Crispy. Evoking the organicity and solemn architecture of Casa Batlló, this collection is presented in a gift box designed to convey the curves and architectural sensations of a House where there are almost no straight lines.
-Collection 7 stars. This collection is inspired by the circular and colorful stained glass windows of Casa Batlló present on the main floor, evoking the full moon.
-Collection Rainbow. This collection is inspired by the trencadís of the House and its amalgam of colors.
