Casa Batlló, best 2022 International Exhibit of the Year at the Museums and Heritage Awards, the sector's Oscars
The Museums and Heritage Awards 2022, recognised as the Oscars of the museum sector, have awarded the Casa Batlló Immersive Experience in the category of Best International Exhibition over other finalists from Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands.
The jury, in their own words, expressed that they “were impressed by the intelligent interpretation demonstrated and his creative response, which felt very genuine. Combining a clever use of technology with layers of storytelling, there is no doubt that Gaudí would have appreciated it”.
The awards, now in their 20th year, celebrate innovative and ground-breaking initiatives from museums, galleries and heritage attractions across the UK and abroad. Winners and special mentions in the other categories include museums such as the Victoria & Albert in London, the MET in New York, the Imperial War Museum and the Oxford University Museum.
