About the artistic circle of Sant Lluc
The artistic circle of Sant Lluc was born in 1893 as a center dedicated to drawing. During the 19th and 20th centuries, it played a prominent role in Catalan culture, promoting initiatives for its revival and bringing together personalities of recognized prestige.

Numerous artists from different disciplines (visual arts, music, theatre, architecture, etc.) joined the circle. It was attended, for example, by personalities such as Gaudí, who shared a drawing class with Miró, or Puig i Cadafalch, who gave lessons on the History of Catalan Art.

As a result, the Cercle played a fundamental role as a center of cultural union, bringing together numerous initiatives that, as a whole, formed a common front for the preservation of Catalan culture.
