We are lighting up the building in the colours of the rainbow!
On 28 June, Casa Batlló will light up to celebrate the LGBTI Pride Parade
Behind the initials LGTBI are the community of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex people. However, beyond labels or categories, at Casa Batlló we believe in freedom, and are we defending the cause so nobody has to suffer any discrimination due to their sexual orientation, condition and/or gender identity.
For this reason, we have decided to take part in the celebration planned by Pride Barcelona on the occasion of its tenth anniversary by lighting up the façade of this World Heritage site in the colours of the rainbow flag designed by Gilbert Baker on Wednesday 28 June. Each of the eight colours of this flag has a meaning: pink –sexuality-, red –life-, yellow –sunlight-, green –nature-, turquoise –magic, art-, blue –serenity- and violet –spirit-.
We encourage you to come to see Casa Batlló’s special lighting for this day, a day that is celebrated worldwide and gaining further relevance every year.
