Craftsmanship excellence and Gaudí inspiration have united Mietis and Casa Batlló in a unique and timeless collection made in collaboration with Simbòlic Store and consisting of three bags, a glasses case, and a cardholder, all available in two colors.
The organic shapes and colors of Casa Batlló have been the new source of inspiration for the creative universe of Mietis, the childhood nickname of the young designer María Fontanellas, whose creations have not ceased to amaze since the brand was born in 2017.
Casa Batlló and Mietis, united by craftsmanship and inspiration
If Casa Batlló was created in collaboration with the best craftsmen of the time, Mietis arises from a leather tanning family from Igualada, a supplier of luxury brands since 1954. Experience in the treatment of leather ensures the highest quality of its products, made in Spain by artisans who have worked in the industry for decades.
Similarly, suppose Gaudí was inspired by nature to conceptualize Casa Batlló, full of undulating and organic shapes. In that case, Mietis has designed this collection with this same sinuousness of forms and inspired by the doors and windows of the house. The collection is presented in two different and complementary colors, pink and blue, which have their origin in the essence of Mietis and the courtyard of Casa Batlló.
According to María Fontanellas, the brand’s creative director, “Gaudí’s colors and organic shapes have always been one of my main sources of inspiration. This influence, together with Miami Art Deco, Mid-century design, and the cinema of the 60s and 70s, makes up the universe of Mietis, a sweet imaginary world full of childhood memories materialized in vibrant colors that exude happiness and fantasy”.
