Today, December 1st, Casa Batlló will light up in red against AIDS
The Foundation Fight Against the AIDS, together with Barcelona City Council, have organized, for the fifth consecutive year, an awareness campaign known as “Barcelona stands up for AIDS”.
Casa Batlló joins the central action of the initiative, which will take place today, Monday December 1st, World AIDS day. In it, various emblematic buildings of the city will lit up in red. Like that, Casa Batlló once again shows its support for the initiative, together with over three dozen other buildings in Barcelona that will also lit up in red, from 18 to 24h.
Beyond today’s action, the population awareness campaign “We are fighters, we are the fight against AIDS” will continue until December 5th. It is an online campaign that is coordinated by the Facebook page of Foundation Fight Against the AIDS and that aims to encourage people to share their personal fights against the disease. You can follow it with the hashtag #FightAgainstAIDS
Supporting this good cause, we hope to actively contribute with the visibility of a great campaign that is aimed at raising funds to finance research into the treatment of the illness, in addition to inspiring all people affected to move ahead with their own fight.
The World AIDS Day really is an opportunity to express solidarity with all infected and affected people and, above all, support research to finally find a cure.
