Concert with Europa Nostra at Casa Batlló

An innovative proposal that merges chamber music, mindfulness, and heritage

On March 14th, Casa Batlló became a space for introspection and connection with PRESENCE, an innovative concert that blended chamber music, mindfulness, and heritage. Organized in collaboration with Europa Nostra and the MERITA Project, this initiative, funded by the European Commission, aims to strengthen chamber music in Europe by offering immersive experiences in unique heritage sites.

A unique experience
The Akela Quartet guided the audience into a state of calm and mindfulness through a guided meditation with one main protagonist: music. The combination of the first morning light, the organic shapes of the space, and Akela’s performance turned PRESENCE into more than just a concert—it became an invitation to full awareness in a fast-paced world.

This experience aligns with other Casa Batlló initiatives that promote wellbeing, such as the breathwork sessions held in the attic—a space whose design evokes peace and harmony.

Both initiatives reaffirm Casa Batlló’s commitment to cultural innovation and the exploration of new ways of experiencing heritage.
