The World Autism Awareness Day is today and Casa Batlló never did hesitate to join the cause. More than 30 buildings and emblematic monuments in Barcelona will light up in blue in order to raise awareness of this health disorder affecting the perception and mental process of 1 in every 150 Catalan children throughout the population. From nine to twelve at night, the Province of Barcelona will be painted in blue.
By taking part in this action, Casa Batlló gives its support to the fight against this disease with the objective of raising awareness and social mobilization and to improve prevention and control.
Casa Batlló, World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and Antoni Gaudí’s architectural gem, much more than a building it is an artistic legend. And now, it will also irradiate blue lights towards the study of autism.
