Casa Batlló is celebrating its X Aniversary as a UNESCO World Heritage
Casa Batlló, Casa Vicens and Cripta de la Colonia Güell are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their inscription to the UNESCO World Heritage
In 1984 UNESCO acknowledged Casa Milá, Parque Güell and Palacio Güell as World Heritage due to Gaudi’s exceptional contribution to the evolution of architecture and construction techniques in the late 19th and early 20th century. In 2005, UNESCO World Heritage was able to extend their register by the enrollment of Casa Batlló, the Cripta de la Colonia Güell, Casa Vicens, the Fachada de la Natividad and the Cripta de la Sagrada Familia.
In 2015 Casa Batlló, Casa Vicens and the Cripta de la Colonia Güell will unite to celebrate the 10th anniversary which is taking place in these buildings. This 15th of July, the celebration is going to take place in Casa Batlló, which will include a theatrical performance in the entrance and in Sala Jujol, in charge of “The Modernist Colony“ Association, where some actors will interpret Antoni Gaudí or Eusebi Güell among others. The celebration will end at the Cripta de la Colonia Güell with a concert in charge of the Orchestra “A Quatre Cordes”.
We would like everyone to enjoy this celebration with us and with the buildings, so by sharing a tweet with #10UNESCOGaudi everyone will have access to this event and their experiences.
